danielb Posted March 30, 2021 Report Posted March 30, 2021 Hello, I am missing all my and the standard effect palettes for my moving-heads and rainbow effects for my LED fixtures and can't find a way to get them back. I'd love to retrieve them somehow as they make the job much easier to program circles e.g. Quote
kgallen Posted March 30, 2021 Report Posted March 30, 2021 Do you have any appropriate fixtures patched? If so on the Effects page can you press "Create Auto Palettes"? Quote
Edward Z88 Posted March 30, 2021 Report Posted March 30, 2021 Hi Daniel, Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. 4 hours ago, danielb said: I am missing all my and the standard effect palettes 1 hour ago, kgallen said: on the Effects page can you press "Create Auto Palettes"? As Kevin mentions, after selecting your fixtures, go to the Effects window, and you will have a button to automatically create effects. Pressing this button will generate 45 effects for your fixtures. How many effects do you see after doing this? If you have any questions let us know. marcopolo Posted August 20, 2021 Report Posted August 20, 2021 Hi. I have a moving head set up on the desk and have pushed create palette. I still have no palettes. This is immediately after an upgrade to latest version. There were position palettes before the upgrade. Is there a missing file to upload? Thanks Quote
kgallen Posted August 20, 2021 Report Posted August 20, 2021 You’ll need to reload your showfile from USB to get any position palettes you programmed. (You did of course save your showfile before doing the software update!). You won’t get any position palettes by default. If you’ve patched a moving head it’s likely you will be able to generate some auto-palettes for colour, beam and shape depending on the capabilities of your mover. Quote
marcopolo Posted August 21, 2021 Report Posted August 21, 2021 Thanks! I have reloaded the show file, but the auto generated show palettes I had before will not "regenerate". So whilst the uploaded show works just fine, I cannot for example create a new figure of 8 pattern with my lights. This happened once before and I was given a file to upload and it all worked just fine again. Quote
kgallen Posted August 21, 2021 Report Posted August 21, 2021 Hi. Do you mean effects rather than palettes? Figure-of-8 is in Effects rather than position palettes. Sometimes with beta software there is an effects.zbr file that is needed in addition but this should not be the case for production software. What version of ZerOS did you update *from* and *to*? Looking through the Beta forum it seems the effects palettes are contained within the Fixture Library: https://zero88.com/library Quote
marcopolo Posted August 21, 2021 Report Posted August 21, 2021 I think I have confused myself - thanks for being patient! I was looking in the pallette for the effect and half remembering the upload of the zbr file from a previous time, when I actually did have no palettes! Sorry, a touch rusty after 2 years ..... I have all the effects had just skipped over them. More haste less speed ..... Quote
kgallen Posted August 21, 2021 Report Posted August 21, 2021 No problem! Glad you found them! 🙂 Quote
Edward Z88 Posted August 23, 2021 Report Posted August 23, 2021 Hi @marcopolo, glad you found your effect palettes. @kgallen thanks for the handy pointers. It also contains a library of effect waveforms and automatic palettes, and also a library of Art-Net OEM codes. A ZerOS Library will always be included in release versions of ZerOS, however can be updated following a software update, by downloading the latest ZerOS Library from the link above.
