The ZerOS 7.9.5 Release Notes indicate that an "updated FLX range manual" is available. The links on the product page for the FLX S however still point to the old v1 manual for ZerOS 7.9.3. Where is the new manual available?

Hello,

The new manuals will be available later this week. The ZerOS 7.9.5 and ZerOS 7.9.4 release notes go through the changes to the ZerOS 7.9.3 manual.

If you have any queries let me know.

Hi All,

Apologies for the lengthy delay on this. Due to the delay in getting the manual out, we have taken the decision to release the manual alongside ZerOS 7.9.6, to help future proof it.

ZerOS 7.9.6 has been in release candidate stage since mid-July. We are planning to release this month.

If you have any questions let us know.

All the best,

Edward

Hi Edward,

is 7.9.6 really to be released this month? I am preparing for our new season and I am wondering if I should wait for the release or not?
Installing Beta 7.9.5.10 on my own risk or better relying on 7.9.5? At the moment I am still using 7.9.4.

Regards,
Martin

Hi Martin,

Yes, unless we find any issues with the software in the next week, we are happy to release ZerOS 7.9.6 very soon. Internally we have had minor revisions since the ZerOS 7.9.5.10 release candidate.

Entirely up to you whether you’d like to wait for ZerOS 7.9.6. If you are happy with ZerOS 7.9.4 for now, you may as well stay on that software version, and upgrade straight to 7.9.6 when released.

If you have any questions let me know.

Great to hear that 7.9.6 and a new manual is 'very' close to release! I have been waiting for the new manual for ages!

As of today, we have ZerOS 7.9.6 running on our consoles in house. We are working on finishing manuals and release notes, and we will then be able to release.

Can you please tell me what is new from ZerOS 7.9.5 to 7.9.6?

I am very happy with the  upgrade from 7.9.4 to 7.9.5, so hopping for more great news to the lovely FLX S24.

Hi Edward.

Great to actually meet you in person at PLASA last week, what a huge help that was to get me going on the FLX S24.  By the way, it is a supreme desk for the amateur and professional alike.  Being one of the former, I tried my newly learnt skills out on the weekend and boy oh boy what a really super show we created in just a few minutes. It was two one act shows back to back and as time was extremely limited I even had to plot the second show while running it using copy and paste with blind changes.  Thanks to the ease of use of the desk and your excellent tuition, not a cue was missed.  Could not have done it without your help!

Anyway, are there any major changes I should be aware of in 7.5. 6? I use LEDJ Performer Series, Generic dimmers and some movers, along with the occasional odd ball LED.  Having spoken to you about the manual issue, is one still going to be available or will you now rely on the Forum to update us all?

Regards

Hi Nigel,

We're currently on schedule to release ZerOS 7.9.6 in a matter of days, not weeks (although, as always, schedules can change last minute if we're suddenly made aware of any issues.).

We have an updated manual which will be released at the same time.

As Edward mentions above, ZerOS 7.9.6 is mostly enhancements and bug fixes.

Thanks very much, that's great to hear. Really glad you were able to put those skills into practice, and create the lighting for your show.

If any questions come up, as always just let us know.
