Rob58
Hi, I have a FLX s48 with 48 dimmers and 2 MAC 600 moving heads connected. They ar all working. But when i choose an effect fot the MAc 600, all the movement effects are the same: they all make an "8". Only the vertical line is making a vertival line. bThe rest only 8s. What is going wrong? kgallen
Probably you have the Speed or Size settings such that the effect is too large or too fast for the mover to mechanically keep up. I experienced this the first time I used a mover (MAC250 in my case) with desk effects. Kevin

If you have not Panned or Tilted your fixtures and they are still in their 50/50 home position, try adjusting their position, and then apply the effects. You should then find that for example a circle effect looks like a circle. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. Rob58
Hi Edward, Whatever i tried with the position, nothing works. Still only "8's" Any other idea? Rob
Edward Z88
Hi Rob, Just to confirm, Effect 2 through to Effect 10 all seem to be giving you a figure of 8, apart from Effect 7 (Vertical Line) which is working? This is the case even when the fixture is tilted away from the home position? Do you have any other moving heads patched in? If you apply the effects to these do you get the same results? Do the other effects such as those for colour and intensity appear to be working with the MAC 600? Feel free to send a copy of your show file to support@zero88.com with a description of the issue, and one of the team will be able to take a look for you. Antti
I'm experiencing the exact same problem when trying to make a circle form effect. It always ends up looking like a figure eight. When I change the position of the fixtures it's still a figure eight, just unsymmetrical. Did you ever find a work around this? I'm running version 9.7.7 on an Orb XF. If you move your fixtures away from their defaults to a location on stage, and then apply the circle effect, try dialing the effect Size encoder down to 0. Then slowly increase the Size encoder wheel. You should find the fixtures perform a circular motion around their current location. 17 minutes ago, Antti said: I'm running version 9.7.7 on an Orb XF. In case you weren't aware, the latest software for OrbXF consoles is ZerOS 7.9.9. If you wish to update your console's software, ZerOS 7.9.9 can be downloaded from the link below... https://zero88.com/zeros#download Hope this helps, Edward Quote Edward Smith Product Specialist Email Support
