  1. Hi Pip,

Ok thanks for trying that. What is the USB Stick formatted to? To find out in File Explorer on your PC, right click on the USB stick -> Properties.

Make sure it is formatted to FAT16 or FAT32.

    Kind regards

I'm not in desperate need of this feature, just wanted to know whether it was still in the plans for the console. :)

    Hi Joe,

Great, yep it is still coming! Scheduled to be released in ZerOS 7.9.3 for FLX in the next few weeks is an updated Setup screen, new Fixture Schedule and Add Fixtures, and award winning RigSync.

    Any queries let me know.

  3. Hi Pip,

ZerOS 7.9.2.50 isn't compatible with FROG2. The latest software release for FROG2 is ZerOS 7.8.2.39 available here...
    https://eatonfilesharing.app.box.com/v/ZerOS/file/129738972125

Download the .zip file, extract it, run the .exe file on your PC with a blank USB stick plugged in and follow the on screen instructions. Then plug the memory stick into the console and boot the FROG2. You should then see a screen that says Install ZerOS 7.8.2.39.

Hope that helps, any queries let me know.

  4. Hello,

Yes that feature is indeed in the pipeline. We have lots of features coming, and I believe this one will be in one of the minor updates after ZerOS 8.

If you’d like any more information on this let me know.

  5. Hi Phil,

Try setting the FLX’s Mater Tracking Backup IP to 192.168.1.10, and the laptop’s Backup Tracking Backup IP to 192.168.1.11.

As you had them on the same subnet as Art-Net this runs the risk of packet collisions on the network.

The same goes for your remote- try setting that to a different subnet (eg- 192.168.2.1).

FLX and Phantom on the laptop should both show 2 devices in Network Devices- the Tracking backup Master/Backup & the Art-Net device. Let me know whether that helps things.

  6. Hi Phil,

If you just plug the laptop running Phantom into a switch and the FLX into the switch without your projectors plugged in do they find each other? The backup should automatically detect and connect the Master if on the correct IP/Subnet. What IP addresses are you using?

    Edward

  7. Hi Phil,

That all seems correct, apart from the Projector's Art-Net Universe- this should be 0 to match the FLX. Currently with the console's Art-Net settings you will be able to control it on Universe 2, as you have got Universe 2 set to 1.

Can you see the projector in SETUP -> Network Devices?
It should appear, and allow you to go in and change the Net and Sub Net.

    Kind regards
    Edward

  8. Hi Phil,

    What console are you using?
Are you going via an Ethernet Switch between your console and the projector?
Is Art-Net enabled on the projector?
Are you in the correct IP range (recommend setting the console and projector Art-Net IPs to 2.x.x.x IP range, with subnets of 255.0.0.0)
Does the Panasonic Projector appear in SETUP -> Network Devices? If so configure its Art-Net port settings to that of the same universe you want to control it from on the console.
Do the DMX addresses of your fixture and the projector match?

Your fixture profile appears to be correct, however I would advise setting the default value of the "Light Output" channel to 255.

Hope that helps, any queries let me know.

    Kind regards

  9. Hi Jon,

Hope you like the new console! Patching Fixtures is done within the Setup menu, using “Add Fixtures”. You may have found “Patch Wizard” within the Quick Access Functions menu when you press “Z”. This is an older style method of adding fixtures that requires an external keyboard.

To access Add Fixtures Tap SETUP, then Add Fixtures from the left hand side, and then pick your fixture. When you press Next-> you’ll then see an onscreen number pad.

Hope that helps, any queries let me know.

    Kind regards

  10. Hello,

Please find attached the fixture file for the Chauvet Versuvio RGBA...

    Chauvet Versuvio RGBA.ift

This fixture file contains 2 modes, one in the standard 9 channel mode, and the other minus the Fog channel. To achieve what you're after, patch the mode without the fog channel to the MFKs, with the address of your Chauvet Versuvio's start address +1 (for example if the fixture is set to 101, set the fixture file minus fog on the MFKs to 102).

Then, patch the channel fader you wish to control the fog from to match the start address of your fixture. To do this go into SETUP -> Edit Fixtures -> Tap the channel flash button of the channel fader you want to edit -> Patch -> Type the new DMX address in.

Hope that helps, any queries let me know.

    Kind regards

  11. Hi Both,

In ZerOS 7.9.3, due to be released in the coming weeks, we have added Quick Offset buttons along the top of the Effects Palette window. These are Forward and Backward per Fixture, Forward and Backward per Group, and Random Offset. Applying a "Mark On" or "Mark Off" effect and tapping "Random"  should create the effect you're after. You can then save that as an effect palette to quickly recall later.

    Edward

  12. Hi Kevin,

That's great thank you. Yes they work with the style.
I'm sure you've already seen this but if not/for others attached is the Fixture Editor User Guide that talks about how to name parameters etc.
For the long name, use the Fixture's model followed by a space, then colon, then another space, and then the Mode name. If no specific Mode name then just put the channel count.
For the short name, type in as longer name as you can including the mode information within the character limit!

    Kind regards
    Edward

  13. Hi Mac,

Offset is used to fan and spread effects across lights. If you have multiple lights selected running an effect, and dial the offset wheel you will see no change to your lights. This is because you would be offsetting each light by the same amount, therefore they continue doing the same thing. For the Offset encoder to act as a "Fan", you'll need to hold SHIFT as you dial the Offset Encoder. To change how the Offset wheel behaves when you hold SHIFT, hold SETUP and tap the EFFECT button. Then hold SHIFT, and you will see the red stripe on the Wheel Behavior buttons change. You can then keep shift held and select Fan Middle" for example, OK the window, and now when you hold SHIFT and dial the offset your selected fixtures will all fan middle.

In ZerOS 7.9.3 planned to be released within the next few weeks dedicated Offset buttons are provided along the top of the Effects Palette window to allow you to quickly fan effects across your lights.

Hope that helps, any queries let me know.

    Kind regards

  14. Hi Mac,

Effects Palettes will by default only Record the Effect with its associated Size, Speed and Offsets. Therefore Position data will not get recorded in with them.

To create the effect you want you will therefore have to apply your Position Palette, followed by your Effects Palette. You can then Record this to a Playback/UDK.

The only way of including Position data in an Effects palette is to do a Record All. To do this rather than tapping Record, followed by an empty Effects palette, hold SHIFT and tap RECORD and then tap your empty palette.

You will notice this brings "Record All" into the command line, and "Snapshot" will be highlighted in the Record Options pop up. Doing this however will also record Intensity, Colour and Beam data into the palette as well as Effect and Position data.

Hope that helps, any queries let me know.

    Kind regards

    Edward
