Hi Kevin,

Over the weekend I wasn't able to submit any replies, including just plain text. However, since the most recent fix has been implemented I have now been able to submit replies "normally".

We will continue to monitor this.

Edward

I still can't reliably add comments to posts.

Hi @kgallen (and everyone else!), have you experienced any issues on the forum since Tuesday?

Think I’ve only posted (and edited) the once and it was ok.

…Or that might have been on another forum… 🤣 I dunno, I’ve been (vaguely) to sleep since Tuesday.

So here’s a post…!

… which seems to have worked from my phone which wasn’t the case before. So this is an edit…

So, to hopefully close-off this thread, it's been a week and we've not seen or heard of any further technical issues on the forum. Therefore, we believe this is fully fixed and "closing the issue". However, if you do find any further issues, please do highlight them to us... don't assume we already know about them.

That worked.

I’ve been posting - normally works but get occasional access denied again.

Also if editing a post, very quickly it says ‘this post can’t be edited, too much time has elapsed’ (or something along those lines) - when I’ve only just posted within the last minute the initial response!

Yes, very annoying when trying to help out others…

Trial edit.

OK, thanks, I'll look into this. Editing time is set to "unlimited" for all registered users, so not sure why that would be.

Our domain wizards have made a few more changes... seems to have fixed things. Would be interested to know if you can edit your posts now?

Seemed to let me edit my post above. Also could edit again and add a video link which worked when it was expanded to embed YouTube.

Looks promising, let's see. However I'm on a Win10 laptop here. Some of my weekend posts were from iPhone11 iOS 16.3.1

The forum is asking me a lot to accept cookies, even though I'm still logged in. This never used to happen. Any reason why?

I've got the same AV (Norton) I've had for years and haven't cleared caches or changed or updated browser. Still Win10/Chrome.

The forum was updated yesterday, which required users to re-accept the Cookie Policy.

I'm on Chrome, and the first time I logged in following the update I had to click Accept. I haven't received the Cookie pop-up again.

Ah ok. I've had this over a range of machines I browse the forum on. Probably I haven't seen it twice on the same machine/browser combination. Thanks!

Thanks for confirming 👍

What seems to happen is when I first load the site (click on my bookmark) the "Allow Cookies" banner pops up at the bottom of the screen, then almost immediately disappears, presumably because it is "checked". Maybe this is an artefact of the current version of Chrome I'm using which is "Version 114.0.5735.134 (Official Build) (64-bit)". In this instance this is a work laptop and I don't manage software versions on it.

Note: Just updated Chrome to .199 and revisiting this site, the Cookies popup didn't happen. No action required!
