Edward Z88 Posted February 6, 2023 Report Posted February 6, 2023 Hi Kevin, Over the weekend I wasn't able to submit any replies, including just plain text. However, since the most recent fix has been implemented I have now been able to submit replies "normally". We will continue to monitor this. Hi @kgallen (and everyone else!), have you experienced any issues on the forum since Tuesday? Quote Jon Hole Global Product Manager, Systems and Control
Davidmk Posted February 10, 2023 Report Posted February 10, 2023 Just finding out if I have issue. If I can post this then I'm not. 1 Quote
kgallen Posted February 10, 2023 Report Posted February 10, 2023 Think I’ve only posted (and edited) the once and it was ok. …Or that might have been on another forum… 🤣 I dunno, I’ve been (vaguely) to sleep since Tuesday. So here’s a post…! … which seems to have worked from my phone which wasn’t the case before. So this is an edit… 2 Quote
Jon Hole Posted February 13, 2023 Report Posted February 13, 2023 So, to hopefully close-off this thread, it's been a week and we've not seen or heard of any further technical issues on the forum. Therefore, we believe this is fully fixed and "closing the issue". However, if you do find any further issues, please do highlight them to us... don't assume we already know about them. 1 Quote Jon Hole Global Product Manager, Systems and Control

kgallen Posted March 12, 2023 Report Posted March 12, 2023 That worked. I’ve been posting - normally works but get occasional access denied again. Also if editing a post, very quickly it says ‘this post can’t be edited, too much time has elapsed’ (or something along those lines) - when I’ve only just posted within the last minute the initial response! Yes, very annoying when trying to help out others… Trial edit. Trial edit add video link Quote
kgallen Posted March 12, 2023 Report Posted March 12, 2023 Won’t let me post a link to one of Edward’s videos on the tube. Issue there. Seems like I have to save very quickly before the video url expands to the embedded video clip. Quote

OK, thanks, I'll look into this. Editing time is set to "unlimited" for all registered users, so not sure why that would be. Quote Jon Hole Global Product Manager, Systems and Control

Looks promising, let's see. However I'm on a Win10 laptop here. Some of my weekend posts were from iPhone11 iOS 16.3.1 1 Quote
kgallen Posted June 30, 2023 Report Posted June 30, 2023 The forum is asking me a lot to accept cookies, even though I'm still logged in. This never used to happen. Any reason why? I've got the same AV (Norton) I've had for years and haven't cleared caches or changed or updated browser. Still Win10/Chrome. Quote

I've had this over a range of machines I browse the forum on. Probably I haven't seen it twice on the same machine/browser combination. Thanks! Quote

Maybe this is an artefact of the current version of Chrome I'm using which is "Version 114.0.5735.134 (Official Build) (64-bit)". In this instance this is a work laptop and I don't manage software versions on it. Note: Just updated Chrome to .199 and revisiting this site, the Cookies popup didn't happen. No action required!
