alg Posted December 6, 2022 Report Posted December 6, 2022 I want to use the auto trigger to start a second Q a number of seconds after the first Q and to let that run independently of the first Q. However it seems that the first Q is simply slowed down so they both finish at the same time rather than give a proper lapped Q effect. Is this correct of have I set this up wrongly? I am trying this on the Phantom desk. . Quote

I am trying this on the Phantom desk. There are two types of Auto cues on the console - Auto With and Auto Follow: Auto With allows the cue to run as soon as the previous cue gets triggered. A wait time can be added, to add a time between the previous cue getting triggered and this cue running. Auto After allows the cue to run once the previous cue's fade times have completed. A wait time can be added, to add a time between the previous cue's timings finishing, and this cue running. Please see the link below for more information... https://www.zero88.com/manuals/zeros/cues-playbacks/cue-settings/cue-triggers Hope this helps, Edward Quote Edward Smith Product Specialist Email Support

So combining this with Edward's answer sounds like you need: A "first Q" A following "Auto With" cue with a Delay "a number of seconds" To allow them to overlap properly and only control "their own" fixtures you'll almost certainly need to be in Tracking and use SmartTag or your own careful tagging to make sure you only record what you need in each cue - the "Auto With" one being the most critical.
