"Frog 2" Competition (Sort of)

There has been a lot of interest and speculation on the new "Frog 2" desk. In this new topic or 'competition' members can offer their own suggestions for the name, colour scheme and front panel design of the new desk

 

The current working name for the new desk is "Frog 2". The final name and the colour scheme will be up to those 'arty' types down in marketing. I'm more concerned with the technical features and user interface myself

 

Please Note - this is meant as a light-hearted exercise but it may give some ideas to our S & M department

Zero88 ICE sounds rather... cool, doesn't it

I agree that Frog II isn't going to do it; should be a more stylish kinda name. Since it won't resemble the Frog consoles I guess...

 

And ditch the green stuff, you've already got blue and grey; go with something new FLAME RED or something :D:D

ICE does sound cool, however I think that you cant call it ice and make it red. Also red looks a bit busy- go blue (Pale)

-A few presets still in (if you insist on them)

-Lots of multi-function faders (use as presets, subs, cues etc.)

-Many SX buttons

-2 Playback X's for more complex scenes

-Additional mover functionality with 2 wheel groups

-A few LCDs for ease of use

-etc. etc.

... and we used to think the design of the Sirius 250 was pretty radical

 

As my colleague Franck said, that should pose a challenge for the flight case designers

... but would you mind shrinking the image a bit so that I don't have to keep scrolling to the right to read the text or access the quote and edit buttons :?

 

Ideally, images should be no larger than 640 x 480 pixels.

This may be useful, i find it very handy. A little Microsoft add-on for Win XP that lets you right-click a picture and resize it:

Hi all,

 

I am no good at creating paintshop stuff however as for the name I love ICE88! It just is catchy, cool (both ways), and smooth.

 

How about this for a slogon; Ice88 Its just sooo cool! (or maybe not lol)

Call it Ice. Something Silver and Sleek, a bit like the Sirius 500. Thats a very presentable desk.

Yes, I like the look of the Sirius 500- it looks like a very modern desk for its era. I hav never used one (although I have used a Sirius 48). Why did it get discontinued?? and when?? It looks from the picture like it had a very similar sort of layout and setup to The Frog desks!
