Paul Bennett 211 Posted April 6, 2022 Report Posted April 6, 2022 Hi. We have reset our desk and currently creating some default playbacks. We have an issue we have selected our battens and put an effect on them. This works by raising or lowering the fader fine. We then create another playback using the battens on the floor add an effect and record to fader two. These work fine independently but when you use both the other one stops the effect? Why is this, we have tried all the settings within the playback options but can't figure it our. Surely we can have different effects on different lights recorded and use these at the same time as they are differnt fixtures. Thank you. Quote
Paul Bennett 211 Posted April 6, 2022 Author Report Posted April 6, 2022 We have also discovered that even using colours when using another fader the first playback changes to white. No clue why I have added a video. The wall battens selected orange and recorded a playback. The floor battens selected red and recorded as a playback. When raise both one turns white. 20220406_100428.mp4 Quote
Edward Z88 Posted April 6, 2022 Report Posted April 6, 2022 Hi Paul, Thank you for your description of the issue, and for providing a video. The wall battens are also included with the floor battens in your floor batten cue. The reason behind this will depend on how you recorded the cue, and the Record Options that were set. I would recommend re-recording these playbacks, and ensure that after recording each cue, you double tap CLEAR, to allow you to then create the next lighting state from scratch. If you still come across the issue, please email a copy of your show file to support@zero88.com, and we will take a look. If you have any questions, please let us know. We definitely hit double clear. We have just discovered that if we put the floor batten playback up first then put up the wall batten playback it works fine which is strange. However do the wall battens first then the floor battens this then breaks it.. The floor battens start on a lower channel 111 the wall battens are a higher fixture number. We are confused. We have tried recording it as tagged fixtures, selected fixtures all parameters etc. Only works if you bring up the floor battens first. We have also recorded the group using no settings this also does not work. Bring up the wall battens first then something else breaks it. I have attached our showfile. Playback 25 is the wall battens Playback 26 is the floor battens. You put up 25 then 26, the wall battens break. You put up 26 then 25 is fine both working with effects. test.zos Quote

Thanks very much for sharing your show file. I can confirm that playback 26 does indeed include RGB @ Full for fixtures 140 thru 212. Therefore upon raising playback 26, it will set these fixtures to white. Playback 26 does not include intensity information for fixtures 140 thru 212, however the intensity is already up from playback 25, hence you see the colour change. To remove this unwanted colour information from playback 26, double tap CLEAR, and raise playback 26, with nothing else active on stage. Then tap UPDATE, and from the Update Options, enable SmartTag, so it has a red stripe. Then tap Playback 26's button. This will remove any parameter information that may have been present in playback 26, for fixtures currently @ 0% intensity. I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward Thanks for this we will have a look at what you recommended. What i don't understand is when we created playback 26 (floor battens) we only selected these and double cleared each time so why would it have also selected the wall battens 140 thru 212? I believe we could be recording these incorrectly, to record a playback for these wall battens (140 thru 212) should we be selecting all parameters? Tagged etc we can't find this information in the manual what all those different options are, in addition when you select something you get red, green and blue. Quote

To record these two cues, I would do the following: 140 THRU 212 . @ 15 ENTER EFFECT 25 ENTER RECORD, tap an empty playback's button. There is no need to alter any Record Options. CLEAR CLEAR 111 THRU 113 . ENTER EFFECT 13 ENTER RECORD tap an empty playback's button. There is no need to alter any Record Options. CLEAR CLEAR Neither playback should then interfere with one another, and will only include information for their respective fixtures. For detailed information on the Record Options, please see the link below... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/cues-playbacks/record-options The Record Filters are explained here... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/cues-playbacks/record-options/record-filters Hope this helps.
