Hello it's me again @Davidmk

I have another issue that the guy before me was trying to solve before he left but did not get round to it so I am hoping someone here can help me.

We have "stage uv" playback 21 and "main hall uv" playback 22.  These are multiple lights set to uv.  You can use each fader separately without issue.  So i can get uv on the stage then uv in the main hall.  However, if you use both faders together then something really strange happens.  The lights on the stage turn white along with one in the main hall.  If you do this the other way round bring up 22 and then 21 the main hall lights turn off.

This is the email that he sent to someone at Eaton.com whoever that is?

Subject: [EXTERNAL] MGGS FLX Show File

Dear Keith,

Please see attached showfile, the Hall & Stage UV faders on playback page 2 faders 21 & 22 work fine when used independently but when pushed to 100% together there is some white strobes coming through on the hex fixtures.

The blackout button also keeps forgetting latch.

The desk keeps crashing, throwing errors and not responding.

Hi Joe,

From what I can see the fixture has colour set to 255 for the RGB in playback 21 but no intensity, and in playback 22 it has the dimmer and the UV at 255.

When you bring up both faders at the same time it is triggering the 21 colour attributes putting the colour to white then bring the dimmer in on a HTP base from 22. You would need to remove the fixture from 21 to stop it doing that.

For the blackout button, I have not seen this before and could not replicate the issue with the your desk or any other desk when testing for it. It will how load as part of the show file it initial set so if loading an old file as a set up make the change and resave this.

 Regards,

Keith

I have absolutely know idea what his reply even means or what fixture he is referring to.  Any helpful information on where to start to trouble shoot this would be appreciated.  Willing to send the showfile if that would help.

Thank you.

Basically Keith means you have too much information programmed into each of the two playbacks.

i.e. you have fixture information recorded in Playback 21 that overrides something in Playback 22 and vise versa. It sounds like you have some fixture data recorded in each that does not show with that playback activated alone.

My suggestion would be to delete both playbacks, clear the programmer (Clear-Clear) then set the fixtures for Playback 21 and record to 21, then Clear-Clear again, set the fixtures required then record Playback 22. In each case after the clear-clear you should only modify the attributes you want to record, so set the intensity and set the colour. Don't fiddle with anything else not required otherwise you will tag other attributes that will thus get recorded and your recording won't be "clean" which sounds like the issue you originally had.

This is assuming you're using Smart Tag.

If you are not then you can be more clinical by ensuring you only manually Tag the attributes you require in each Playback.

Hope that makes sense. I think if you read Keith's reply a few times it will make some sense, but in order to repair the mal-formed Playbacks in this situtation, it's probably easier to delete them and start again.

Hi @Paul Bennett 211

As @kgallen mentions, it may be easiest to just delete these playbacks and re-record them, as it sounds like they are currently both fighting over the same fixtures.

Do feel free to forward your original support email thread along with the latest copy of your show file to support@zero88.com, and we will take a look.
