lugamil Posted November 10, 2021 Report Posted November 10, 2021 Hi all I own a Zero88 FLX S48 console. In the most recent update, Zero88 added better support for multicell fixtures. I own a multicell fixture myself but the fixture is not included in the current fixture library. I tried to create my own but I had never used the Fixture Tools program that Zero88 provides before so I don't really know what I'm doing with it. I couldn't figure out how to add separate cells with their own parameters. I created sub-fixtures for each cell but i got the error "Too many subfixtures in the fixture type." when I added everything and clicked "Ok". I considered sending an email to fixture support but since this is not that urgent, I would like to know how I can do this incase I run into this issue again in the future. Thanks in advance Mil Quote
Edward Z88 Posted November 10, 2021 Report Posted November 10, 2021 Hi Mil, Hope you're well. The Fixture Editor software has not been updated, and so allows you to create fixtures in the standard .ift format. 57 minutes ago, lugamil said: I considered sending an email to fixture support but since this is not that urgent, Please send a copy of your fixture's manual to fixturesupport@zero88.com, and we'll be able to provide you with a fixture file. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward Quote Edward Smith Product Specialist Email Support

You have always been able to create personalities for multicell fixtures in the Fixture Editor. Typically these are created with multiple cell intensities being scaled by a Dimmer, and each cell of colour mixing labelled Red 1, Green 1, Blue 1, Red 2 and so on. Fixtures in the .ift format can be loaded into the console and can be controlled as a standard fixture, and will not be treated as a multicell fixture. I see. Thank you for clearing that up. If I send an email to fixture support, can they make me a fixture file that does support multicell fixtures? Quote

That is correct - if you can email us a copy of the fixture's manual, we will be able to create a fixture in the ZerOS multicell format. Edward Quote Edward Smith Product Specialist Email Support
lugamil Posted November 11, 2021 Author Report Posted November 11, 2021 Thank you for the quick replies. I've sent an email to fixturesupport with the manual page detaling the channels and I gave a brief description of everything. Quote
