nickwoolley Posted June 12, 2004 Report Posted June 12, 2004 This sounds really silly... but... just wondering when you flash either a flash button on the presets or on the submasters is the led in the flash button meant to light up. also when you take one of the faders on the presets up is the led light meant to come on and also when you are using playback x to playback the memories are the corresponding led's meant to light up on the flash buttons when the channels are being used? thanks very much Nick :x Quote What if...
sp Posted June 12, 2004 Report Posted June 12, 2004 Hi, Presets: Basically, as far I know the LEDs only come on when using the channel flash buttons for 'selecting' things - related to patching dmx addresses and working with pallettes (have a read through the manual). They don't come on when flashing or soloing channels though. They also don't light in relation to your question on playback x. Submasters: The latest software update allows fade times for submasters. When a submaster is fading up or down, the yellow led comes on. If a submaster is in use that is not on the current submaster page, its yellow LED flashes to indicate this. When adjusting chase settings live, the yellow LEDs light when selecting certain subs for adjustment. If confused :? , have a read through the manual, but also the release notes for the new software update, as details are contained here not in the manual itself. sp Quote
Paul Posted June 12, 2004 Report Posted June 12, 2004 This has been mentioned before, CLICK HERE. The LEDs on the Frog panels can only be on or off. They don't dim like the green output LEDs on old desks like Sirius/XLS did. So you wouldn't get a very good indication of what the scene looked like anyhow. We took the view that if you wanted this sort of information you could look at it on the external monitor display, hence it's not displayed using the channel flash button LEDs. Having a whole load of LEDs on the panel flashing on and off might be a bit distracting for some users. And since now in release 9, you can lock the channel flash buttons to be palette select, you could have a right confusing state of affairs about what the LEDs in the buttons were showing you at any given time. Also, see K-Nine's comments about overloading of these buttons in THIS TOPIC. edit: fixed links Quote

CLICK HERE or HERE or even HERE. Quote K-Nine : Technically Advanced Roving Dog In Space Bran Media | Myspace
sp Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 ah ok right k-nine sorry about that confusion - I just seem to remember somewhere you saying you were too busy on the mambo manual to do any more work on the actual frog one. sp Quote
