Steven h Posted November 30, 2020 Report Posted November 30, 2020 Hi i recently got an Iphone se and i can no longer connect to remote with it i have tried resetting everything, matching the ip addresses it just keeps coming back as not connected.. I have seen that there is an update which i will install tomorrow for the desk but beyond this i am stumped, it worked fine with my old iphone 6s which i would still use if i could. Any ideas or help would be great. Steve Quote
Edward Z88 Posted November 30, 2020 Report Posted November 30, 2020 Hi Steve, If you are running iOS 14.2 on your iPhone SE, you should have received an iOS pop-up message upon opening the ZerOS Remote app for the first time, stating that you need to grant the app access to other devices on the network. If you have not seen this message, go to the iOS Settings app, and choose "Privacy" -> "Local Network". You should see Z Remote listed. Ensure that it is switched on to give it access to the local network. I hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know. Edward Quote Edward Smith Product Specialist Email Support
Steven h Posted December 1, 2020 Author Report Posted December 1, 2020 Hi Edward, Thanks for getting back to me, One of the first things i checked after it wouldn't connect was whether it needed any permissions to run. After checking and updating everything , I am still getting a failed to connect message, I am now going to try a new router and create a new network to see if this maybe the problem. Thanks Steve Quote

OK thanks for confirming. Seems odd that the only change to the system is a new iPhone. 22 hours ago, Steven h said: matching the ip addresses it just keeps coming back as not connected. The console should automatically appear in the list of consoles in the ZerOS Remote app. You shouldn't have to manually type in its IP address. 31 minutes ago, Steven h said: am now going to try a new router and create a new network to see if this maybe the problem. If this doesn't solve it, feel free to email me a list of the devices you're using for your remote network, how they're connected, and the IP addresses they are using.
