DanielWhit Posted October 28, 2020 Report Posted October 28, 2020 I am currently running a Leap FrogĀ 96, using OS 7.9.8. This is a desk I've "inherited" due to taking over technical duties in a school. I've had a look around and have seen the manual to use is the SolutionXL one for the latest OS, which is what I am trying to do to get my head around the desk. I've spotted the desk doing some strange things, and have managed to get into the input monitor to see that the "shift" key seems to be constantly registering as being pressed. Is it possible this is somehow stopping me from doing many general tasks? Added to this there is no "shift" key on the desk itself (and this isn't a keyboard shift key either), so which button is the desk receiving a signal from? At the moment, the desk is stuck on a previous show, which I don't seem to be able to delete specific cues or the entire project to start again. I did manage to make it record cues at the end of the show, but fade controls don't seem to work (fade up/down time is 0 despite the monitor reporting "3.0") and I can't update/delete cues to be able to start afresh. Submasters are in place from previous operator and don't seem to have any problems, and I can control the rig by adjusting the faders manually. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Quote

The SHIFT key on Leapfrog consoles can be found next to the Wheels. Please view the Event Monitor on the external monitor, and tap the SHIFT key a few times, to see if this unsticks it. If it doesn't, I would recommend air dusting around the button, and trying again. If SHIFT is held down, this will result in the console acting strangely, as you will only have access to shifted functions, and you will not be able to use drop down menus. 10 minutes ago, DanielWhit said: At the moment, the desk is stuck on a previous show, which I don't seem to be able to delete specific cues or the entire project to start again. To clear all programming leaving the patch, tap Setup -> Clear Options -> Clear All. To delete just some cues, tap DELETE, and then use the MFKs to type the cue numbers you wish to delete, such as 1 Thru 20. Then tap the flashing button of the playback these cues are stored in. 12 minutes ago, DanielWhit said: fade controls don't seem to work (fade up/down time is 0 despite the monitor reporting "3.0") and I can't update/delete cues to be able to start afresh. This will be because SHIFT is held down. When shift is held and the go button is pressed, this will snap to the cue ignoring the fade times. Hope this helps, if you have any questions let us know.
