Edden Riparip Posted October 4, 2020 Report Posted October 4, 2020 (edited) Hello All, I am using a Zero88 SolutionXL lighting desk for 3 years now in our school and I would like to know if it is possible for me to trigger the cues saved on the lighting desk thru Show Cue Systems Software and ENTTEC DMX USB Pro MK2? Maybe via MIDI, SMPTE or Art-Net? I am in the process of centralizing the video, lighting and sound cues hence the use of SCS. Has anyone tried it, please can you share some tips. Thanks Edden Riparip Edited October 4, 2020 by Edden Riparip more information Quote
Edward Z88 Posted October 4, 2020 Report Posted October 4, 2020 Hi Edden, Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. I have replied to your Facebook message, however I’ll reply to your query here too. It is possible to trigger Solution XL consoles, by adding an optional triggers card. This card has MIDI connections. SCS will be able to output MIDI with an appropriate USB to MIDI interface, which you can then use to trigger cues on the console. The ENTTEC DMX USB Pro MK2 can be connected to one of the Solution’s USB ports, to give you another DMX output. I hope this helps, if you have any questions let us know. scottydog75 Posted October 5, 2020 Report Posted October 5, 2020 Hi Edden, I have managed to get SCS to trigger cues on the FLX (similar enough to your Solution console..!), however as Edward has stated above, you will require a USB to MIDI interface (and two MIDI cables) For reference I use the "M-AUDIO MIDISPORT 2x2 Anniversary Edition" however I'm sure almost any MIDI interface should work with SCS and Solution.
