Laubfrosch Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 Hi all, Probably found a small bug relating the "Palette Lock". Facts at first! The desk, LeapFrog, has the SV 9.6 Fixtures 1-4 MAC 600, 5-10 MAC 250 Entour and about 20 Generics. The Leap also runs in "Partial Mode". During programming and editing Memories I noticed a weird behaviour of the "Palette Lock" If activated + playback Memories + changing palettes live, no problem occured. In "Edit Mode" the "Palette Lock" stood at the last choosen attribute, i.e. Position. Even holding down another one like "colour" the pushed palette button activated a "Position Palette despite the displayed colour of the pushed button. I was able to control via wheel only! Going back to the playback mode everything works fine again. I hope I explained detailed enough? Cheers Sven Quote Sven Paulsen Klangfarbe Vienna
K-Nine Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 Is the problem that when you are in "Edit Mode" and the monitor screen is locked on a palettes, that the main monitor screen does not follow the attribute button presses (Colour, Beamshape, Position) ? Laubfrosch Posted June 2, 2004 Author Report Posted June 2, 2004 Hi K-Nine, no it´s not the monitor!!! The Monitor and LCD do follow the button presses, but only temporarely. Like it works without the Palette Lock. You see the right things but receive other DMX-Channels. cheers Sven Quote Sven Paulsen Klangfarbe Vienna
K-Nine Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 Not sure I quite follow the problem then When I tried it out yesterday on a Fat Frog - if the monitor screen was locked on Colour palettes and you then went into Edit mode, pressing Beamshape or Position did not change the monitor screens to the corresponding palettes, and the channel flash button/palette select buttons also remained indicating the Colour palettes ! This is the bug that I thought you were describing 8O Quote K-Nine : Technically Advanced Roving Dog In Space Bran Media | Myspace
Laubfrosch Posted June 2, 2004 Author Report Posted June 2, 2004 Oooooops SORRY you´re right!!! I have just checked it on a Fat Frog. The VGA Monitor doesn´t change to the chosen Attribute. Everything else is like I described in the first and second post. In short form! Using the palette lock during the edit mode, the Attribute is locked FOR SURE!!! Cheers Sven Quote Sven Paulsen Klangfarbe Vienna
K-Nine Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 I guess the simple work-around is to not lock the monitor screen onto one of the palette screens if you intend editing memories, submasters or SX buttons There are other issues relating to locking monitor screens and the palette lock function which we also need to investigate further.
