I have two playbacks setup for any given group of fixtures, one contains movement effects and the other, effect chases (NOT playback chases made up from individual cues)
If I alter the effect speed, it affects both movement and chase playback.
Is it possible to alter the speed for each type individually?
The aim is to have control of movement speed while also being able to adjust the chase speed to the music.
I'm aware of the BPM function which controls a "playback chase" speed but has no bearing on effect speed.
Is there a more efficient way of adding movement and intensity chases to a show??
Sorry if this is a basic question and thanks for any help / advice.

How are you altering the effect speed? Are you doing this by selecting the fixtures, tapping the "Effect" tab at the top of the touchscreen, and then using the encoder wheels? If so, you will need to tap Effect until you see the effect number displayed on the encoder wheel you wish to edit.

The best way of speeding up or slowing down effects manually is to use Speed Override. Speed Override can be accessed by tapping Z/Shift, and is on the second encoder wheel. Speed Override will adjust the currently viewed playback, so choose the playback you wish to adjust by pressing and holding VIEW and tapping the playback's button, and then use the Speed Override wheel. Tapping the middle button of the Speed Override encoder will reset back to the playback speed. Speed Override can also be configured to be controlled by a fader. To do this hold SETUP and tap an empty playback's button, and choose Speed Override.

Hope this helps,

Edward
