Sound to Light

Not used it myself but sound to light is mentioned on pages 43 and 81 of the manual. If you are not a sound engineer then talk to one, you may need something between the two desks (sound desks tend to use a balanced connection on XLR while this input looks to be an unbalanced stereo one and a conversion may be needed).

Hi both,

The audio input can trigger chases to run. When you’ve programmed a chase, you can go into its settings, and enable sound to light. The audio jack input can be a balanced or unbalanced signal. Many sound consoles have jack outputs for monitors, which you can take a feed from and plug into the console. For best results, feed a bass filtered signal, so the console knows what to step the chase’s cues to. It’s always good to also have the ability to adjust the volume level entering the console.

Hope this helps,

Edward

You shouldn't need to do anything else - connect your audio feed, enable Sound to Light on a chase, and then run the chase...

You may find it easiest to set the Chase's speed to 1 BPM - that way you can see the Sound To Light triggers more easily.

If there doesn't seem to be any audio reaching the console, you can boot the console into Test Mode. For information on accessing Test Mode, please see the link below...

https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/trouble-shooting/test-mode

If you choose the "Other Test" tab at the top, this will then show you the audio levels being received.

If you have any questions let me know.
