Hi Shane,

As Kevin says, either attaching your show file to this thread, or emailing it to us at support@zero88.com is the best way of us seeing what is going on.

If you tap Z/Shift, the second encoder wheel displays Speed Override. If you tap the middle button of this encoder, this will disable speed override.

Are you finding it is just the parameter fade times that aren't working, or are  intensity fades not working either?

If you have any questions let us know.

Thanks, we’ll take a look into this.

I can confirm held set up and go  fader controls where untagged

Thanks for letting me know. Yes if an attribute is enabled under fader controls, this attribute’s cue fade times will be ignored.

Hello again!

I am using playback #1 to run a number of cues, each of which is a macro to call other playbacks (37 - 42), each of which has a chase programmed; it also releases the previous chase. Mostly it is working fine, but the chases are cross-fading from one to the next over about 2 - 3 secs rather than changing as a snap. I'll want to run through these quickly (less than 3secs per Go). Another fader #2 is programmed to release all the above chases, which it does instantly. (it is these different chase patterns which I want to be able to change the colours over as per my previous query).

Hi Mark,

If you program a completely blank cue (as it sounds like you have in playback 1 to use as macro triggers), there won’t be a fade time displayed, as that cue itself has no information for intensities to change.

Triggers and releases uses the cue fades, so if you need to customise the timings, you’ll need to put dummy intensity information into each of your macro cues - you could do this by just patching an extra dimmer channel you don’t need, and just have it fade on and off from 0% to 1%. This will bring the fade time controls back for you to configure.

Hope this helps,

Edward

I think I've had this "issue" before too. So, sorry to sound like a broken record Edward, but this it yet again a valuable nugget of information, so please make another of your KB "How To:"s 🙂

Also whilst I'm being a pain, and watching your "Programming cues onto playbacks" video - that tip to set your playback button to Go (Snap) to "prep in dark" the fixtures ready for raising the fader - that definitely needs to be a How To: too!

Thanks for your help Edward - everything is doing what I want. I have yet to see what it actually looks like!

I have noticed various helpful pages with hints/videos/forums etc, but there could be a better way of getting from one to the other than going back to Google 🙂
