Simplifying jargon - video series

Recommended Posts

These are great - but some (e.g. cue only, home) need a line to say how to achieve this on the console, or a reference to the appropriate section of the manual.

I'm playing "spot the voice" - it's like a Zero88 version of Trevor Nelson's Radio 2 Five-seconds-to-name quiz! 😆

Thank you 🙂 glad you like them!

We're deliberately aiming for "neutral" - explaining jargon rather than teaching a particular console.

That said... we're working towards an online manual & updated knowledgebase, which these will hopefully be included in.

The Park video has no sound, tried on a couple of devices

You’re doing one better than me Chris, I don’t even see the Park video! The last I see is Home.

It didn't have sound earlier on YouTube, but was fine on Facebook an hour or so later.

A slight technical issue - apologies! The silent version was online for approx 45 minutes - so well spotted!

Hi Sven,

Wow! This "Inhibitor" thing was really brand new for me!
Do you have some more hint for me how to achieve this?

If you want to have a fader that inhibits a pair of fixtures, set them to the maximum level you wish them to be able to go to, then tap RECORD, then choose an empty playback to store to. Then in the Playback Settings, change the Intensity Mixing to be Inhibit. Now the intensity of these fixtures will be scaled by this inhibitor.

More information on Playback Settings can be found here...
