Steven Gerrits Posted November 22, 2019 Report Posted November 22, 2019 Hello everyone, I'm new to the zero series, however I have programmed a show with some 70 cues. on a FLX S24 everything works fine except for 1 generic dimmer channel that will not be recorded in the cues. I can manualy pull it down on the channel-fader, but it refuses to be recorded or updated in the cues. I am using a generic dimmer channel, wich should work because I can use it manually. perhaps there is some setting I need to set...? Help! kind regards, Steven Quote
Edward Z88 Posted November 23, 2019 Report Posted November 23, 2019 Hi Steven, Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. 13 hours ago, Steven Gerrits said: everything works fine except for 1 generic dimmer channel that will not be recorded in the cues. By not recorded, do you mean it always seems to be at 0%, or does it always seem to be up doing its own thing? If it is up, and each time you record or update your cue it reverts to a previous level, it sounds like there is another programmed playback running on the console. To make sure only the Master Playback is running, you can press and hold CLEAR, and press the fader function button - the button that you use to toggle the faders between channels and playbacks. Hope this helps, Edward Quote Edward Smith Product Specialist Email Support
Steven Gerrits Posted November 23, 2019 Author Report Posted November 23, 2019 Hi Edward, perhaps I should explain a little more. there are no other playbacks playing. the dimmer is on 35% but it is on 35 % on all cues. I try to correct this: I call up a cue lets say cue 1, the dimmer should be off, so I correct the channel to be off and then update cue 1 using the Z button (like explained in the manual) if I then press clear and recall cue 1 the dimmer is on 35% again. in other words: whatever adjustment I make, it does not record or update in any cue. It remains at 35% untill I manually pull down the channel-fader. if however I try to edit a cue, lets say I change a LED-fixture from red to green and then update using the same method it records or updates that just fine. any suggestions? kind regards, Steven Quote
Edward Z88 Posted November 23, 2019 Report Posted November 23, 2019 Hi Steven, To update cue 1, go into cue 1. Take the dimmer to 0%. Then tap UPDATE, and simply press the playback’s flashing button. This should take the fixture out of the cue. When updating cues, you should find you don’t need to press CLEAR. This is because your manual changes have been taken and stored into the cue, and there is therefore no manual information left to clear. Hope this helps, let me know how you get on. Steven Gerrits Posted November 27, 2019 Author Report Posted November 27, 2019 Hi Edward, I have found that after a long programming session (about 100 cues) the error started to occur. after I rebooted the table the cue's seemed to be fine. (updated as well) thank you for your help. Kind regards, Steven Quote
