Firstly, welcome to the Zero 88 Forum.

I would like to use a chase with crossfade and use the Global Tap from another playback, but it doesn't

work. I would have to change the chase to "ramp up" or "ramp down".

To configure a chase to crossfade between cues, hold SETUP and tap the chase's button to open the Chase's Settings. Under Intensity, choose "Cross Fade". You can then define a fade percentage, using the Intensity Fade Percentage option below. This defines the percentage of the duration of each step that the fixtures are fading. 100% fade would mean 100% of the duration of each cue the fixtures are fading. Click OK, and now the chase will cross fade between each step of the chase.

You can the use a Global BPM fader to control the speed of the chase.

For more information on Global BPM, see below...

Hope this helps, if you have any questions let us know.

Hello Edward,

No, I mean something easier (?)

I'm trying the following:

Take a group of PARs, use the effects section, set for example a smooth effect with individual offset, record it on

a playback, turn it into chase within this playback, use global bpm. It's set to crossfade by default. Global tap is setup like in your description.

With crossfade setup no triggering by global tap. If I switch to ramp up or ramp down, global tap triggers as it should.

Hello,

Effects can’t be turned into chases. Cue stacks can be turned into chases. As effects are recorded as single cues, effects can be steps of a chase.

To control the speed of an effect, you can use the Speed Override control. To do this hold SETUP and tap an empty playback’s button. From the options choose Speed Override.

This fader will then control whichever playback you are viewing. So to control the speed of your effect, hold VIEW and tap your effect playback’s button. You can then use the fader to speed up or slow down the effect.

Hope this helps,

Edward
