Joshua1709 Posted June 9, 2019 Report Posted June 9, 2019 Hi is their away to get moving head lights to go to their position first then the light come on Thanks Josh Quote
kgallen Posted June 10, 2019 Report Posted June 10, 2019 Not if it's the first cue in your stack. Subsequent cues, if the light is dark in cue n and lit at a different position in cue n+1, then the light should "Move on dark" after cue n has run and thus when it lights in cue n+1 it is in the correct place already. Cue n can't be a snapshot (blocking) cue. If the light is lit in cue n and also in cue n+1 then there is no Move on Dark opportunity. You would need a point cue ("n.5") to create a "marking cue" where the light is dark and the move can take place. If you wanted the move then light behaviour on say a UDK then I don't know if you can do that, as it's a two-step process - move then light. (Sorry no UDKs on FLX S). Kevin Quote
Edward Z88 Posted June 10, 2019 Report Posted June 10, 2019 Hi Josh, As Kevin describes, FLX S consoles by default Move on Dark, and prepare a fixture’s colour, beam and position when a fixture has 0% intensity, for when the fixture is next used later in the cue stack. You will therefore need to have a cue where they are off, to allow this to happen. Some fixture’s do have the option to automatically go to 0% intensity when moving, however you’ll need to consult your fixture’s manual to see if this is possible. Hope this helps, let us know if you have any queries. Edward Quote Edward Smith Product Specialist Email Support
Merci Quote
kgallen Posted January 23 Report Posted January 23 It should just work unless your programming style is stopping MoD working. Cue 1 - fixture is lit Cue 2 - fixture goes dark - fixture will then prepare for Cue 3 - you should see the fixture intensity figure in the Output Screen with a light grey box during the time the fixture is preparing with MoD - the light grey box will go one the fixture has prepared for Cue 3 Cue 3 - fixture is lit in another position/zoom If you record snapshot cues, this will stop the fixture preparing for Cue 3 after Cue 2 executes. It is best to use Tracking mode. 1 Quote
Hello, If you have recorded positions onto a playback fader, you may find you see the fixtures moving to their position upon raising the playback fader. To avoid seeing this movement, hold SETUP and tap your playback's button, to open the playback's settings. In here, set the "Button Function" to "Go (Snap)", rather than flash. Then click OK. Now, you can tap the playback's button to prepare the fixtures, and then raise the playback's fader to turn on the intensity. I hope this helps. 1 Quote Edward Smith Product Specialist Email Support
