rowanpaul Posted January 4, 2019 Report Posted January 4, 2019 How or is it possible to set the fade downtime of a single intensity cue when operated with the fader? e.g. House light dimmer fade in and fade out set to 3sec's All the settings I've tried result in the fade out time is in sync with the fader operation. Edward Z88 Posted January 4, 2019 Report Posted January 4, 2019 Hello, For this, it sounds like you would be best to use the Playback Raise & Lower options. Doing this means that a fade time is applied to the playback fader, not the cue, meaning you can snap the fader up and the lighting state will fade in, and snap the fader down and the lighting state will fade out. To do this hold SETUP and tap your House Light playback's button. Then select the Raise & Lower settings tab. In here you can customise the raise and lower times for the fader, and click OK. I would then advise you remove the intensity fades from the cue. Hope this helps, any queries let me know. Edward Quote Edward Smith Product Specialist Email Support
rowanpaul Posted January 4, 2019 Author Report Posted January 4, 2019 Thanks Edward. It would be good to have a guide for these sorts of things. e.g. the other day I couldn't remember how to record existing playbacks into a cue (hold down record and use snapshot, though how fixture tagging works in this scenario.......) Edward Z88 Posted January 4, 2019 Report Posted January 4, 2019 Hello, No problem. We are continuing to compile knowledge base articles about these sorts of operational tips and tricks. For FLX S see below... http://support.zero88.com/Consoles/FLX-S/ Raise & Lower hasn't currently got an article, so we will bear this in mind. 1 hour ago, rowanpaul said: the other day I couldn't remember how to record existing playbacks into a cue (hold down record and use snapshot, You should find that by default SmartTag is enabled. When SmartTag is enabled, you will be able to record cues/playbacks into new cues. To find the SmartTag option, press and hold RECORD to open the Record Options menu -the same menu you can choose Snapshot. You can enable SmartTag so that it has a red stripe next to it, and then tap RECORD to close the window. SmartTag will then stay enabled for future recording and updating until you manually change this setting again. SmartTag may serve you better than Snapshot, as unlike Snapshot it doesn't record everything, only the values required to create the lighting state on stage. This is especially important when it comes to running multiple playbacks at once. As a side note, a shortcut to the Snapshot function (sometimes called Record All) is by holding SHIFT + tap RECORD. Hope this helps, any queries let me know. Edward Quote Edward Smith Product Specialist Email Support
rowanpaul Posted January 6, 2019 Author Report Posted January 6, 2019 Thanks again, Edward. The reminder of the tips and tricks link appreciated together with the smart tag. Just a quicky "Naming Playbacks" is in the manual under "Playback Settings window" but I can't spot it? Quote

Yep that’s correct - hold SETUP and tap the playback’s button to enter the Settings, then tap Advanced. In here is an option to enter the playback name. You can also access the playback settings by tapping the on-screen playback fader in the Faders window, as this is the default function.
