rowanpaul Posted December 10, 2018 Report Posted December 10, 2018 How do you edit a fixtures Wheel groups so they will appear on the encoder wheels when say beamshape is selected on an FLX screen. I get strobe and reset as my first 2 rather than Gobo6 Gobo8? Thanks Paul Quote
Edward Z88 Posted December 10, 2018 Report Posted December 10, 2018 Hi Paul, Your easiest option to customise the order the parameters are displayed on the encoders, is to list the parameters in order in the Fixture Editor “Parameters” tab. Therefore delete the fixture groups, and reorder the parameters. To move a parameter to the end of the attribute, change the parameter to a different attribute and then back again. Hope this helps, Edward Quote Edward Smith Product Specialist Email Support
rowanpaul Posted December 11, 2018 Author Report Posted December 11, 2018 Thanks Edward, this was enough to get my main attributes on one page. Quote

Hi Edward, Since struggling to re-order parameters on a large fixture file before reading this hint, is there any chance that the 'parameters' column could be a user editable cell? This would seems slightly more intuitive then the current method in my mind - and especially for new users to the software..! Just a thought, Cheers, Alex Quote

There aren’t currently any plans to update the Fixture Editor, however this is something we can bear in mind. A better solution may be to have up/ down arrows at the end of each parameter row, which you could use to reorder the parameters within their attribute. Yes, this sounds perfect! If only it was so simple to implement haha. Cheers, Alex Quote
