Hey!  Sorry if they´re been answered before but..:

Is there a way to move palettes? Would like to arrange them a bit without having to make all new ones! And can you import them between shows?

Is there a way to clear "on time"? like press5s - clear. Really handy when doing live shows.

Is it possible to set delay times on separate fixtures? Like spot 5 3s delay Before fading out or moving?

Also starting to have trouble with one of the Wheels, hardly doesn´t work in one direction, but ok the other way? Strange.. Dust?

Thanks!

Hi Franz,

On Solution consoles you can't move palettes, but you can copy them. This is done by using the syntax COLOUR x COPY y ENTER, where x is the palette number you want to copy and y is where you want to paste it. This can be done for all palettes.

When choosing palettes live you can use the console's Programmer Time to fade between them. For more information on this, see the article below...

On Solution consoles it is not possible to set a different fade time for individual fixtures in one cue. For this you would need to record a separate cue, purely for the fixture that you wish to use a different fade/delay time. You could then configured this cue to run automatically with the previous.

The wheels each have their own circuit board. If the console has been jolted one of these is potentially not seated correctly. This is something you could try and fix yourself if you are happy to open the console up. If not, please contact your Zero 88 distributor and they'll be able to help you out.

Hope that helps, any queries let me know.

Hi, thanks for your reply!

OK, that´s good news about the palettes, i will try that.

I know about the programmer fade time, it´s a great feature. What i´m after is more like when you edit a programmed show, say you gain the intensity of a fixture or slighly move pan to adjust for some actor that suddenly is in a dark corner i would like to fade back to cue instead of "snap". Maybe something for future updates?

I will open up the desk and have a look after the weekend when it´s a bit calmer.

This still sounds like something Programmer Time can do for you. When clearing the programmer (double tapping CLEAR) with Programmer Time enabled, the console will use this time to fade your fixtures. Therefore with Programmer Time enabled if you have a mixture of programmer information along with cues active, double tapping clear will fade back to the original cues rather than snap.

Hope this helps,

Hi again, well  programmer time partly works also on clear. It seems though that only one attribute at a time is working. If i choose Another colour and the intensity. it clears the colour instantly but then fades intensity out.

And the copy palette thing, sorry if i´m being stupid, but how exactly do you do that? How do i type? I tried using the buttons but then i only get the alternative to copy cue or playback. Or do i need to use external keyboard?

What software version are you running on your console? You can find out by tapping Other Windows top left of the Output Window, and from the drop down choose System Information. In here is a line of text displaying Software Version. The current latest release software is ZerOS 7.9.4, which is available to download here...

With Programmer Time enabled, you should find that from the moment you make programmer changes they fade over the defined programmer time.

If you do have an external keyboard connected you can type COLOUR 1 COPY 5 ENTER (the Copy and the Colour keys are found on the console not the keyboard) which will copy colour palette 1 to palette number 5. If you don't have a USB keyboard you can still do this command, however you will have to type COLOUR SPECIAL [use the MFK up/down arrows to choose page 2] 1 COPY 5 ENTER.

Hope this helps,

Edward
