Orb Back Up Battery Replacement

Recommended Posts

I received a message on my Orb that says..."RAM retention test failed. The internal battery may need replaced."  I know it takes a CR2032 and it has been a number of years between replacements. Can someone help me on where this battery is located and how do I get to it?

Hi Herman,

The battery is located on the main circuit board, inside the console and attached to the bottom panel. When you replace the battery, please be aware you will once again see the same warning the first time you turn on the console - don't worry about that.

If you'd like a diagram of which screws to remove to get inside the console, please email our Service Manager, Keith, who can send this through to you - KeithRogers@Eaton.com

Thank you Jon. I will give the above information a try. I have an e-mail in to Keith and I am sure he will respond once he gets back to his desk tomorrow. Appreciate your assistance.
