Updated Manual

Hi

I note there are several significant changes with the new FLX software especially in setup. Is there a manual update as the current version as an example among many things that differ shows a home setup screen I cannot find any more in setup etc.

Hi Mark,

There have indeed been many changes since the manual was written. In the next software release, ZerOS 7.9.5 will bring further changes and enhancements to Setup. We are therefore keen to release an up-to-date ZerOS manual at a time when it will be applicable for the longest period possible.

For configuring Home values, this is now done outside of Setup. Instructions on how this is done can be found on the knowledgebase below..

It is not 100% right, as it is  for a different desk (Orb) but very useful:

Any chance of a full one for the FLX? It saves a lot of time when introducing people to the desk!

We don’t have a Quick Reference sheet for FLX. But this is definitely something we can look to create.

This hasn't been created yet, due to ZerOS 7.9.5 development.

I haven't forgotten, and will look to create this when the next software version has been released.

yes a updating Manual will be good for all news users.

 

I can see and French forum some users that are looking after a update manual for having a good FLX experience...

I come back to the manual ...

I am aware that documentation takes time (and therefore money)
But currently on the side of the manufacturers, it is often what is lacking! And if we find a lot of videos on the side of the Grand MA, and in all important languages, often new users are a bit delivered to themselves ... Other solutions that is not always easy, it is going through training courses that are often in Paris, and so in addition to the cost of the training course and travel, you have to pay hotel nights .... so that the training comes back to the price of the FLX + Wings ...

So I think the documentation and user support aspect is an important thing to do better than the competitors ...

To know that if the FLX is a console easier to use Chamsys, just released a live contestant and I think other brands will try to go in this part of the market ...

So we come back to documentation and help new users of Zero88 products ...

Think about it and may appeal to your community of users, could be an advantage for you!

We definitely agree. We think it’s very important to support customers to ensure they can get the most from the products. An updated manual and more videos are definitely something that will be released in future.

Please please please can you update the crib sheet soon. I really need it when I go into schools. This is your future customer base !!

They just want to get stuck in and not sit down with the videos ....

Think cheat sheet and you have them. Is it a long till the next version is out?????

ZerOS 7.9.5 is still currently work in progress. Unfortunately I cannot give a release date on this yet. Would having access to the latest beta version of ZerOS be of interest to you? If so please drop us an email to support@zero88.com requesting to have beta access, and we’ll be able to add your forum account to the group.

I come back about Manual and also to use community for creating a interactive manual in this forum...

It can be interesting for many reasons...

 

1/ for this great work, many guys can give you help. (like wikipedia)

This manual will be ever near the Zeros version... 

with the beta test, it s also possible to ask beta testeur to update this manual, with also the zeros signature...

 

2/ In this manual, with evolution on new OS, a good way will to attach what version concern changement can be interesting...

7.9.4,    7.9.5. and so an...

 

3/ and with all the chapter and différents part, to paste solution (links to the forum) and what to do to avoid problems...

 

4/ Helping video can be also paste on this great manual...

 

 

Conclusion : Older and new users will be have a perfect way to understand FLX (And ZeroS) for be effective at work...
