alibab963 Posted November 19, 2018 Report Posted November 19, 2018 Hey, I’ve been trying to update my leapfrog 96 from version 7.8.0 to the current update. I’ve got a USB containing the software plugged in, which the board had identified. Unfortunately I can’t work out what to do from here; going into setup -> files, gives no update option, so I’m not sure whether the update instructions were different back then? Is something wrong and how do I update? Thanks! Quote
kgallen Posted November 19, 2018 Report Posted November 19, 2018 Does anything on this thread help? Quote
Edward Z88 Posted November 19, 2018 Report Posted November 19, 2018 Hello, Software updates can only be loaded in via SETUP -> Load File if you are running ZerOS 7.9 or later. As you are running ZerOS 7.8 you will have to boot into the software on a USB drive. The thread Kevin has linked to above should help you out. If you have any issues just let me know. alibab963 Posted November 19, 2018 Author Report Posted November 19, 2018 I’m afraid not. The USB is being read fine and the board can ‘see’ the files, but there is no option to update. The update file is not in any folder, it’s in the root directory. If I try to boot the board with the USB plugged in, the board just doesn’t load, it remains on the zero88 loading screen. I can not access the bios either, holding f2 has no effect. Quote
alibab963 Posted November 20, 2018 Author Report Posted November 20, 2018 Hey, I managed to get into the BIOS, and put the USB-HDD as top boot priority, however this has had no effect. Either the board boots normally (some of the time) or it freezes on the blue zero88 loading screen. It has at no stage given me any update screen or options. Quote
alibab963 Posted November 20, 2018 Author Report Posted November 20, 2018 Never mind, it eventually worked and is now running 7.9.4 smoothly. thanks Quote
