How to update from ZerOS 7.8.0

Hey,

I’ve been trying to update my leapfrog 96 from version 7.8.0 to the current update. I’ve got a USB containing the software plugged in, which the board had identified. Unfortunately I can’t work out what to do from here; going into setup -> files, gives no update option, so I’m not sure whether the update instructions were different back then? Is something wrong and how do I update?

Hello,

Software updates can only be loaded in via SETUP -> Load File if you are running ZerOS 7.9 or later.

As you are running ZerOS 7.8 you will have to boot into the software on a USB drive.

The thread Kevin has linked to above should help you out.

If you have any issues just let me know.

I’m afraid not. The USB is being read fine and the board can ‘see’ the files, but there is no option to update. The update file is not in any folder, it’s in the root directory. If I try to boot the board with the USB plugged in, the board just doesn’t load, it remains on the zero88 loading screen. I can not access the bios either, holding f2 has no effect.
