Lufferov Posted November 9, 2018 Report Posted November 9, 2018 Is there any more news or ETA on when the Carallon Library will be added to ZerOS? It seems like it's been "Coming Soon" for about 5 years.... Also, I seem to recall a conversation with Edward at ABTT (I think), and we discussed the effects engine because I think it's atrocious (sorry). But I was told you were working on rewriting that whole thing to make it not rubbish. Is there any news on that? Quote
Edward Z88 Posted November 11, 2018 Report Posted November 11, 2018 Hello, ZerOS 7.9.5 was previewed at PLASA this year, which brings many new features, including new auto- effects and a re-worked engine. New Fixture Library is still in the pipeline. Currently Zero 88 Fixture Library 36 contains over 8,000 fixtures, so hopefully you shouldn’t come across missing fixtures too often. Hope this helps, Edward Quote Edward Smith Product Specialist Email Support
Martin Burton Posted November 11, 2018 Report Posted November 11, 2018 Any date on when ZerOS 7.9.5 will be released ? Is still by then end of the year ? Thanks Martin Quote
Lufferov Posted November 12, 2018 Author Report Posted November 12, 2018 Thanks Edward, but it's not about the fixture library itself. But the introduction of Carallon was supposed to solve the issue of controlling fixtures with multiple "parts". Such as SunStrips, avoiding the need to patch dozens of dimmer channels etc... I missed PLASA this year, do you have an ETA for the release of 7.9.5? Quote
Edward Z88 Posted November 12, 2018 Report Posted November 12, 2018 Hi both, We've been working on some behind-the-scenes work in ZerOS, that needed to be implemented before ZerOS 7.9.5 can be released. We are certainly still planning this before the end of the year. If you are keen to preview this software as soon as possible, please email support@zero88.com, and one of the team will be able to look to add you to the beta test group if you aren't already part of this. 1 hour ago, Lufferov said: But the introduction of Carallon was supposed to solve the issue of controlling fixtures with multiple "parts". We understand the need to implement this as soon as possible with so many fixtures now being multi-cell. We are therefore keen to implement this in the best way possible for ZerOS and the user. Any queries let us know. Edward Quote Edward Smith Product Specialist Email Support
