USB Show Save/Load Issue

Hi

I have just updated a Leapfrog 48 however it fails to recognise USB sticks.

If you restore desk to factory it will read the stick once but then fails to see it again.

Have reformatted sticks and tried different ones, all which worked fine in previous firmware.

Any help available?

Thanks in advance.

Hi sabah69,

Strange. What make, model and size of USB stick are you using?

Try doing a Factory Restore, save the empty showfile to the USB stick, unplug the USB stick, plug it back in, and then try loading that "empty" showfile back into the console.

Now try loading something else. Does that work?

Hello,

With the USB stick unplugged, tap "Other Windows", found top left of the Output Window, and from the drop down choose System Info, then tap System Info. At the bottom of this screen you should see a section labelled "USB devices...". Looking at this section, plug the USB stick in, do you see any change? If so the console is detecting the USB stick.

Then tap SETUP -> Save Show -> tap Refresh after 10 seconds, do you now see "Removable Device" appear in Destination Device?

Let me know how you get on.

Hi Sandy,

OK thanks for letting me know. Did you try Jon’s suggestion...

Neil tried out our latest beta version, which I believe solved the problem. I haven’t heard from him recently though.

Just to confirm, are you finding if you Factory Reset the console, you can read USB storage devices ok, but as soon as you start programming the console USB devices don’t appear?

Any queries let me know.

Hi Sandy,

OK thanks for trying that.

If you’re happy to, please send me an email to EdwardSmith@Eaton.com, and I’ll be able to arrange getting you access to the latest beta software. This should solve the problem, and greatly improve the performance of your Leapfrog 96.

Alternatively you can of course wait until ZerOS 7.9.5 is released.

Any queries let me know.
