Lex Posted April 4, 2018 Report Posted April 4, 2018 I came across a problem editing cue's. Maybe this is because the console is rather new to me. The theater I work for has recently purchased the FLX S48... I would like to know how to edit a playback. The procedure is probably the same for a playback on a MFF and the master playback... I have programmed first some playbacks on the MFF's. And from there set up a list of cue's to the master playback. I tried to do adjustments using the update command key, up until now that doesn't work for me. Also holding the update key so adjustments can be made within update options also didn't work for me. I have the following questions: - How can I exclude fixtures from a existing cue on the Master Playback? - How can I adjust the intensity of specific fixtures in a existing cue on the Master Playback? - If I want to adjust a playback on a MFF does that work the same? Kind regards Lex Quote
Edward Z88 Posted April 4, 2018 Report Posted April 4, 2018 Hi Lex, When it comes to editing Playbacks/Cues, you first need to Playback/ Go into your cue you wish to edit, so that it is live on stage. Now using the channel faders, and fixture controls make edits to the lighting state. To lower channel levels, you'll need to level match the channel fader to the intensity level the fixture is at from the cue. The value will change from the cue colour to red in the output window, and you'll then have control of the fixture on the channel fader. When you're happy tap UPDATE, and tap the Flashing Playback button that your cue is coming from. To remove fixtures from a Playback, again Playback your cue, and ensure that the intensity of fixtures you wish to remove is in the programmer. Programmer values are indicated by a red percentage value under the fixture channel number. When only fixtures you want to remove are in the programmer, press and hold UPDATE, and choose "Remove" from the Update Options pop-up, so that it has a Red Stripe next to it. If the SmartTag option also has a Red Stripe next to it, tap this so it goes blue. Then tap the flashing Playback button that your cue is coming from, and these tagged fixtures will be removed. As you stated, editing cues on any of the MFFs or on the Master Playback will behave in exactly the same way. Hope that helps, any queries let me know.
