Studio Tech Posted February 17, 2018 Report Posted February 17, 2018 Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find the an answer to this one. I have the desk in 'Run' mode and have chases programmed to several subs. At the moment, the 'Speed' control seems to be a global speed adjustment for all chases, but what I would like to be able to do is to individually adjust the speed of chases whilst still in 'Run' mode. Is this possible? Thanks in advance. Quote
Edward Z88 Posted February 18, 2018 Report Posted February 18, 2018 Hello, You've got a couple of ways to do this. Firstly in Run Mode, you can change the Flash Mode to <Beat>. This allows for the buttons under the Submasters to be tap tempos for each chase, so you can define the speed for each chase that way. Alternatively, select the Submaster you wish to change the speed of. A selected memory/Submaster is indicated by the yellow highlighted row. When it is selected, hold SHIFT and use the Speed pot to level match the current speed, and then gain control of that one individual chase. As you say if you don't hold shift you will adjust the global chase speed. You can read a little more on pages 24 & 25 in the manual... Hope that helps, any queries let me know. Studio Tech Posted February 21, 2018 Author Report Posted February 21, 2018 Thanks Edward, It's the second method I had been trying to use, but I couldn't see how to actually select individual sub-masters - a bit of experimentation has now revealed that I should've been using [SHIFT+FLASH BUTTON] to make the selection. E2A So the behavior I get now is (1) run a number of chases (2) select sub whose speed I want to change (using [SHIFT+FLASH BUTTON] to make the selection) (3) hold [SHIFT] and adjust the speed control and the speed of the selected chase only changes but only until I release the shift key, then all of the running chases change to the new speed.
