Techiemactech Posted December 7, 2017 Report Posted December 7, 2017 Hi, we we have had our flx48 desk for a few weeks now and really like the features of it. obviously there are still a few teething issues that we have come across. We keep coming across lines on the screen and at first thought the monitor was broken, however the lines even appeared on the touch screen and external monitor. it takes a bit of getting used to ‘red’ being the item selected in the options. im surprised that by default it’s setup for the external display for playback, as there is then no option to view it on the touch screen. some fixtures appear several times in the list, for example, prolights studio cob, appears studio F.C. and it’s not until you selected it tells you channel numbers/mode, so a little trial and error. And dublicated for each mode. other than that, we put it front of some students and within a few minutes they were recording cues etc and programming moving heads Quote
Edward Z88 Posted December 7, 2017 Report Posted December 7, 2017 Hello, Really glad you like the features of your FLX S48. We have just released a new software version for FLX S which I highly recommend you installing. We have found a couple of issues with patching that I guess is what you described as the "teething problems"! These issues are fixed in this version which you can download from our website here... https://eatonfilesharing.app.box.com/v/ZerOS/folder/42009315015 Download the ZerOS - 7.9.3 (USB).zip file, and extract it to the root of a USB stick. Then on the FLX S tap SETUP -> Load File, and select the software file and the console will perform the software update. Software updates wipe the console's memory, so make sure you save the current show first to USB before updating. The new software also changes the way the console behaves so that by default you have the cue list in the internal touchscreen. You can change this in SETUP -> System Settings -> Monitor Enable/Disable - this option changes which monitor the VIEW key effects. When you say "lines" on the screen, could you give a little more description or even take a photo and send it over? We haven't come across this before and so it would be good to know what's going on there. Is this still happening after updating the software? In the next software update we will be moving over to a new fixture library that will prevent the duplication you have described. Hope that helps, any queries please don't hesitate to get in contact. JamesBH Posted December 13, 2017 Report Posted December 13, 2017 I also noticed some lines on the screen of an S24 I was setting up for a client on some pages that scroll, but switching to another page they disappear so it wasn't an obvious hardware fault. Quote
