kschnei150 Posted March 12, 2017 Report Posted March 12, 2017 Hello all, we have today a PC based solution to control the Lights in an Circus tent of our childrens circus called Circus Compostelli in Germany. We have around 25 LED PAR and every PAr can be controlled itself via the Software. Now we thought about to buy a Controller to avoid problems with the PC Software and easier controlling the shows. Whats the right product for us ? We are not that much familiar with all the specific items like submasters and so on... Hi highly appreciate for every answer and tips that can help us to decide for the right product. But because we are a private organization where everybody works for fun and not for finance we must be cost effective. Best regards from Germany Klaus Quote
Edward Posted March 12, 2017 Report Posted March 12, 2017 Hello Klaus, For a small budget it would be hard to beat the JesterML range. These desks can handle 30 fixtures over one universe. How many generic dimmers do you have? There is a JesterML24 and an ML 48 (24 channels for the ML24 and 48 channels for the ML48). http://www.zero88.com/products/consoles/jesterml24/index.shtml Hope this helps Edward Quote
kschnei150 Posted March 12, 2017 Author Report Posted March 12, 2017 Hi Edward, thanks for reply. We have today 25 RGB PAR each with 5 channels for R-G-B-Dimm-Strobe speed. So if i will fully control every channel i need 125 channels that can be controlled. We did not use Moving Heads or other multi function devices but we wanna be open to do so maybe in the future. Edward Posted March 12, 2017 Report Posted March 12, 2017 Hi Klaus, On the JesterML your LED PARs would count as fixtures rather than dimmers, and the Jester has a limit of 30 fixtures, so you'd have 5 spare after yours are patched in. Edward Quote
kschnei150 Posted March 12, 2017 Author Report Posted March 12, 2017 Hi Edward, sounds good, so i will have a deeper look into the documents of the Jester ML family. Klaus Quote
jw-lighting Posted March 12, 2017 Report Posted March 12, 2017 Hi Klaus, the five fixtures spare could hardly be enough if you're planning to add moving lights in the future. On the other side, you're not using the 24 dimmer channels from the Jester ML24. For that reason have a look on the Solution as well. Here you're able to control your LED fixtures like generic dimmers with additional colour parameters. additionally you're not as limited in the number of fixtures as you are with the JesterML. Redards Jan PS: Du kannst hier auch auf Deutsch schreiben, wenn es dir leichter fällt. // You could write german as well if it's easier for you. Quote
kschnei150 Posted March 12, 2017 Author Report Posted March 12, 2017 Hi Jan, as i wrote we are not a commercial company so the solution series is highly over our small budget :-) I write in english so also not native german speakers are able to understand and reply. Trotzdem danke für den Hinweis :-) Grüsse/Regards Klaus Quote
jw-lighting Posted March 13, 2017 Report Posted March 13, 2017 as i wrote we are not a commercial company so the solution series is highly over our small budget :-) I almost expected this, however i wanted to give you that hint. Maybe you have a chance to get a used one (or a LeapFrog). Quote
