QLab Timecode Help?

Hi all,


Was wondering if anybody could help me?

I am trying to use timecode via QLab in order to activate a cue stack.

How would i go about doing this as my attempts so far haven't worked!

Hi Matthew,

 

Have you enabled MIDI Show Control (MSC)?

 

You do this in SETUP > Desk Setup > Inputs > MIDI Show Control

 

MSC works on Cue Stack 1, you can then use this Cue Stack to trigger other cue stacks.

 

The last thing to ask is what device/cable are you using to output MIDI from the Mac? We’ve seen lots of problems with customers using cheaper cables, like these:

with the new version now using play backs. what play back is used for msc please?

Hi Paul,

I'm pretty sure Playback 1 is still used for MSC in ZerOS 7.9.2.

EDIT: After the update it is now the Master Playback 0.

Thank you Edward. Have u tried this with scs by any chance.

No I haven't, however using a decent MIDI interface box such as a MOTU brand will work using MSC.
