Ricksea
Is it possible to remove the 3.5 floppy and replace it with a 3.5 floopy emulator to USB? It is much easier to Cary the USB stick and hopefully easier to record on, the unit is similar to this I am considering. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Upgrade-floppy-drive-Emulator-flash/dp/B00BHB6Y7E
Jon Hole
This is something that several customers have tried and succeeded it at. There are a few topics about this already in our forum... here is one: http://zero88.com/forum/topic/6482-fat-frog-fdd-replacement/ Quote Jon Hole Global Product Manager, Systems and Control
Ricksea
Hi Jon. I was going to replace the floopy drive but found the USB. Some of the new movers are 1.9 meg and I just can not squeeze it in a 1.44 floopy. If the USB drive emulator is a possibility it. May make things good for me. kgallen
The USB drive has to look like lots of floppys. You will still have the 1.44Mb size restriction implicit with the desk still thinking it's talking to a floppy drive. There is no way round this. The USB drive has two buttons to 'page' the USB into floppy sized chunks. You need to chop up the fixture library, there are instructions on the fixture download area here: http://zero88.com/support/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/584/0/legacy-desk-fixture-library
