ziglight Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 I use the "DMX IN" for various use and I am very happy with thisexample : to extend the Submaster-layer/pageexample : also to create some sort of master-dimmer for groups of fixtures (very useful !)unfortunately it seems that a fader can only control intensity of a fixture (or a group of fixtures) but that its not possible to control other parameters (like pan or tilt or color etc)... or say to control any choosen DMX channel via DMX-INis there a special reason that this is not available on the solution desk ??if the double control (fader + wheel) is available for intensity it should not be very difficult to get other accesses by fader too (via DMX-IN)?? Jon Hole Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 Hi Ziglight, Other parameters won't always default to 0% (pan and tilt for example), so this becomes quite a bit less user friendly than intensity. The best way to do this would be to patch the fixtures in the normal way, and then record just Pan / Tilt / Colour onto a submaster (ensuring nothing else is 'tagged'). You can then change the "Submaster controls..." options within the submaster setup window to proportionally control that parameter.
