smcalister Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 How do you upgrade the Firmware if there is no Internet connection? Quote
iank99 Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 Most people have access to a computer with an internet connection, so the Upgrade is downloaded on that computer and then copied to a USB memory stick to upgrade the desk with. The desk doesn't need (or shouldn't have) an internet connection per se - whilst there is an Ethernet/RJ45 connector on the rear panel it's there solely to connect to equipment that allows you to drive multiple universes of DMX. smcalister Posted August 2, 2013 Author Report Posted August 2, 2013 well where do you find the Firmware upgrade as when I power up the orb xf it asks would i like to update firmware and when you click yes it goes into a endless loop looking for the update which cant be found? Quote
iank99 Posted August 3, 2013 Report Posted August 3, 2013 The firmware updates are available on this site under the consoles section http://www.zero88.com/software/zeros/index.shtml There's also an Acrobat/PDf file that describes the procedure for creating the USB image needed to perform the update.
