charles Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 I find I am unable to make use of 3 channels. Operating the faders does nothing, If I perform a "factory reset",. everything recovers, but later stops working again. Any ideas? Quote
Jon Hole Posted January 21, 2013 Report Posted January 21, 2013 Hi Charles, Which version of software are you using? Please ensure you have the latest version of ZerOS installed, which can be downloaded here: http://zero88.com/support/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/366/172/ Quote Jon Hole Global Product Manager, Systems and Control
charles Posted January 22, 2013 Author Report Posted January 22, 2013 Not sure of software version since I'm at home. It's what came with the board in October 2012. I'll check when I go to the theatre in a couple of hours' time. I have a show in the board and safely loaded onto a memory stick. Can I be sure that this will still be valid if I carry out a software update. I'd hate to waste 2 days of programming. Quote
Jon Hole Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 The showfile will be absolutely compatible unless you are updating from a VERY old version of software, which it doesn't sound like you are (so long as your software is 7.x.x you'll be fine). Remember that updating the software wipes your showfile, so take a backup of the showfile onto a separate USB memory stick first, so you can load it back onto the desk Quote Jon Hole Global Product Manager, Systems and Control
charles Posted January 23, 2013 Author Report Posted January 23, 2013 software is 7.4.0. Any ideas about the problem? or is it a real fault? Quote
Jon Hole Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 Try going into SETUP > Desk Setup > Event Monitor Now, push one of the problem faders right to the top of the travel, and you should see a load of text appear on screen at looks like this (with the blanks filled in). Fader 0x____ (_________________), New Level 0xFF, Old Level 0x__ Check that the last (bottom) line of text has 'New Level' as '0xFF' Now pull the fader to the bottom, and check that 'New Level' is at '0x00' on the last line of text. Repeat this for all the faders that are causing problems, and let us know the result. (to exit this window, you need a mouse or touchscreen to click the cross in the top right corner of the screen. If you don't have either of these, turn off the desk and turn it back on). Quote Jon Hole Global Product Manager, Systems and Control
charles Posted January 24, 2013 Author Report Posted January 24, 2013 All the 'non-working' faders report as norrnal: new level 0XFF at Full , new level 0X00 when put back to zero. I have a mouse, so exiting Event Monitor is easy enough. Quote
Jon Hole Posted January 24, 2013 Report Posted January 24, 2013 What version of 'Co Processor 1' are you running? This should get updated with the software update, but it's possible it was skipped. SETUP > Files > Desk Information Quote Jon Hole Global Product Manager, Systems and Control
charles Posted January 24, 2013 Author Report Posted January 24, 2013 Bootload 14.136.0.0 Firmware 2.20.0.0 The software is as supplied from new - in November 2012. But have you missed my original comment," It works properly when I return to factory default". The fault just seemed to appear. Quote
Jon Hole Posted January 25, 2013 Report Posted January 25, 2013 Hi Charles, When the console has these problems, please save a copy of the show, and email it to me. Please also include the Serial Number of the console in the email. Many Thanks, Quote Jon Hole Global Product Manager, Systems and Control
