I have a 2002 make Frog. For some time it would not boot up, I would unplug and replug and everything booted fine. Now, it does not boot at all. In fact, all that is does is turn every LED on and the LCD screen shows nothing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi John,

Can you plug a VGA monitor into the console? (most you can, but the very earliest ones you couldn't).

If so, does anything appear on the screen?

Have you ever replaced the internal battery?

I replaced the battery, no difference. Nothing displays out of the VGA connection.

Please, keep going!

Looks like the voltages are sagging a bit at the XLR input connector. I get +14 volts, -16 volts, and 4.88 volts. I don't know if these are regulated within the PS, or they just assume some voltage drop once it gets inside the board.

New development. I left the console plugged in for an hour by mistake and it actually came up with, "waiting for an upgrade disk" on the screen and finally booted up after waiting for a long time.

What do you think?

Whenever I leave the the floppy drive plugged in the console continually crashes and reboots every 5 seconds, but with the floppy unplugged the console does the "upgrade disk" things and finally boots. I replaced the floppy drive with 3 different units and always the same failure.

The church does not have a budget for another one. Please help.

From what you have given it sounds like a power issue.

Those voltages that you are reading are not correct, you should be seeing +12v , -12v and 5v.

Can you pm on the address below to take this further.

Keith Rogers
