K-Nine
N-Shot Chases Chase memories have an additional parameter (Shots) which determines how many times the chase will run when it is triggered from the Playback X, Submaster or SX button (Mambo Frog). The Shots parameter has a range of 0 – 255, where 0 is the default value and means run continuously once triggered (as in the current software), 1 means the chase will run once and stop, 2 means the chase will run twice and stop etc. Quote K-Nine : Technically Advanced Roving Dog In Space Bran Media | Myspace

Haytech
If you dont mind, but whats the point of this function Hi GLX with that one you can run a chase (n) times n=1-255 times 0=forever I think that´s why they called it n-shot could also be nigel - shot I´m not sure about that it´s cool for fadeouts last movementsweeps flashing lights - showdown and many more Quote Sebastian H. K-Nine
I agree with Haytech There are several occasions where you might want to run a chase just the once or a fixed number of times. This is a function that various users have asked for so we have designed and implemented it The default has been set to zero (= run continuously) which is what the current released software does, so you only have to edit the Shots field if you want a specific number of shots Quote K-Nine : Technically Advanced Roving Dog In Space Bran Media | Myspace
GLX
Would loops be a better name than shots, or is this some mad welch lingo
K-Nine
Probably better to call it "N-Shots" because it refers to how many times a chase memory runs once triggered. We have used the term 'loops' on another desk to mean running through a number of memories in the memory stack a fixed number of times. ... and if we ever decide to put 'loops' on the Frogs or 'N-Shots' on the other desk  Quote K-Nine : Technically Advanced Roving Dog In Space Bran Media | Myspace
Haytech
I think n-shot is a useful name for this function And Avolitesâ„¢ has named its chase control "loop" and "stop on last step" Quote Sebastian H. K-Nine
When running an N-shot chase, the actual step that the chase will finish on will depend on the Direction modifer. For example, a 1-shot chase consisting of 5 steps will be output as follows: Forwards (>) 1,2,3,4,5 Backwards (<) 5,4,3,2,1 Bounce (<>) 1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1 Quote K-Nine : Technically Advanced Roving Dog In Space Bran Media | Myspace
