alg Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 What is the recommended approach to protecting the supply side feed to a betapack 3, the handbook mentions Type k MCB, does it work with the more usual type B and C? What is the position on use of RCD or RCBO, can they be used or are they not recommended for use with dimmers? Advice please. Quote
KWR88 Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 There should be an RCD fitted to the distribution board the dimmer is connected to. If not then the pack should be protected by one. This has to be suitable rate for the current being drawn but needs to be of a 30mA trip rating to provide correct protection. For MCB would recommend you use C type. B are for domestic use you may find that you get nuisance trips on this. Quote Regards, Keith Rogers Zero 88 Support: support@zero88.com
