frog resetting its self

Hi my fat frog has taken to losing its previous settings for wide use and the internal clock timer resets to zero

no other presets are affected all ok on submasters and dmx patching etc its all easy to live with but dont want it to become more serious in the future any ideas ??

This sounds most likely like the battery inside the desk has failed. The batter is a standard CR2032 3v type that you can buy from most hardware shops - they're used in desktop PCs and a lot of other consumer electronics.

 

If you're confident with a screw driver, it's easy enough to replace the battery - it's on a holder on the top of the main PCB. Alternatively, any Zero 88 dealer should be able to service and replace this battery for you.

Thanks for reply had an idea it might be that had a similar problem with another desk turned out to be corosion on printed cicuit track. im not too bad with screwdriver as i recently had to have case open to fix the thumb wheels as the had been pressed though. Jesterfish
