Im running a Jester ML. On the Universe is 6 Golden scan 2 & 40 LED PAR Cans (3 different brands). I created a 4 channel profile for the LED pars (although one brand is a 6 channel).

We connected the movers & all pars in 1 dmx run and got uncontrollable behavior - 2 of the moving lights started acting up on their own with no dmx sent. I put a terminator on the end of the run. No success same behavior. I disconnected the dmx from end the movers (which are at the start of the run) and they now behave. I introduced a dmx opto-splitter right at the output of the console and send runs the the prospects parts of the layout-

1-to movers

2- to LEDPARs stage

3- to wall LEDPars

I have successfully got all movers and stage LEDs working fine. The dmx run from the opto to the walls gives me erradic behavior again (immediate color changing with no DMX sent) I have a secondary dmx console which i plug the wall run into and get perfect control. I need to get everything on one universe on the ML. The client just bought the ML and is renting the other console.

Somehow, I dont think its a bad cable. Or bad fixtures, because I can get them to work on a new universe. Is the console putting out a strong enough DMX signal? Has anyone had this problem? Any troubleshooting assistance would be greatly appreciated.
