Wozcu Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 So, I've got two Martin Magnum 2000 Pro fog machines. They are in use all the time, mostly in dance shows (modern etc.) and plays. The frog 2 user manual doesn't say absolutely anything about programming your own macros and generally I'm a total newcomer with macros, but I'm asking is it possible to control the channel data for channel 1 (fog) by using macros? Ie. if I want to have fog coming in with the "intensity" of 80% for 5 seconds at the start of a cue, or at full for 3s without affecting the originally recorded cue (so that I could add the macro later on). Usually we have just done it manually with udf's/udk's, but since fog has to be used so often as an effect, it would be a whole lot easier to just add M[x] in the last paragraph in the cue stack window. If it is possible, as I think it is, that way the fog could be timed perfecty to eg. the changing of scenes in a play controlled either by the Go-button or a wait time. Any other ideas not involving the use of macros are also welcome. Thanks in advance =) Quote
Sparky Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 You should record your smoke cues on a separate cue stack and then trigger them from your lighting cue stack by writing in the macro e.g. g2 this will trigger the go button on stack 2. etc etc Quote
