Hi folks,

Following on from my other thread, I have just got a request to do some effects with our lights, along to music.

To explain a bit better: in the interval, build up, and wind down to a performance, we often have a random playlist of music to be playing. This can be absolutely anything in the world, so I can't really have a set playlist as such. What I would like to do however, is have many different states of lighting during this time, i.e all lights at red, blue, green, chocolate, pink, purple, etc etc, and then to fade between each other between each track. Is there anyway I can get a signal to the LeapFrog (from either a Mac, PC or Sound Console itself) to tell it that a song has ended, and another begun, to switch to the next state, as it were? This also raises another problem, how could I set all these states up, but just go round in a circle, and not effect my control of the Go button, so that Go will actually take me to the first scene in the play?

I'm really regretting not coming up on the course now Peter!

Many thanks,

Adam

Hi

First off the only real way you have a chance of making this work would be to use SMPTE. If you can then put some marks in the tracks that show the end you could trigger the cues with SMPTE. I don't think there is really a way to do what you want simply.
