Hi there,

I'm a new user to Zero 88 products just come from the world of Pulsar MasterPieces to a Leap Frog 48

Having used the desk for a couple of days would like to know how i can go about programing my own effects. Would like to write some for the colour wheel of some Absract VRX units. none of the inbuilt colour effects show as avaiable to them

Thanks for your time

Hi Nathan

This isn't possible on the Leap Frogs at the moment - you can, however, record your own chases, so it is possible to create your own effects that way.

Hope this helps,

Hi Nathan

Yes, that would theoretically be possible but bear in mind that when you import a show to the Frog 2 it loses the information about where your fixtures and dimmers are assigned to (preset faders or MFKs) as the Frog 2 doesn't have the concept of MFKs. Therefore you might have to play around with moving things back into place when you bring the show file back across to the Leap Frog. Also if you're using a Leap Frog 96, you'll lose submasters 11-30, and might also lose some of the more cue stack specific information on the Leap Frog (chases, 'next' memories, etc). If you made the effect before you'd programmed too much, it should be fine.

Hope this helps,

Did anything come of this? Our desk has basic effects like square and circle etc, but would be fun to be able to put things like can-can or whatever in with the effects panel rather than having to manually program chases for each section of lights.

Is there a library online here or something where people can post effects they have made?

Hi there,

We have actually enabled the Effects Window now for the Leap Frog 48 & 96 consoles - hold down SHIFT and push EFFECTS to open the Effects Palette window, then push the 'Effects Window' button in the top left, or use the 'Other Windows' dropdown in the Output Window to open it.

Hope this helps,

Peter
