Withaar Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 I have a XLS and 2 DateQ 603 Analogue 0-10v Dimmer. The XLS uses a Din 8 and the Dimmer a 15 pin connector. The XLS side (picture from the German manual) The dimmer side: 1-6 = channel 1-6, 7=gnd, 8 = 15 Volt out, 9-15 not used. Channel 1-6 is clear 1-6 to 1-6. XLS Pin 8 = 0 V Signal Ground to Dimmer pin 7 = Gnd. But do I need to connect XLS Pin 7 = Power IN, +20 Volts @ 200mA to Dimmer pin 8 = 15 Volt out ? Why power IN and Out and how about the 5 volt difference and what about the 200mA? And 20 volt, 15 volt... where are the 10 volt from 0-10 volt...? Quote
Paul Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 The XLS does not have any internal connection to Pin 7 on the analogue output DIN connectors - the information in the German manual is incorrect on this point. You only need to connect channels 1-6 and 0V to the dimmer. The correct information is given on the rear panel of the XLS: Quote
